How It Works

Three layers, each with one job

Sakena is not a pad, and not a diaper. It looks and feels like regular underwear, but it has three integrated layers that work together.

1) The contact layer — wicks moisture away

The first layer that touches your skin moves liquid away quickly, so you keep feeling dry instead of that clinging wet sensation.

2) The absorbent layer — holds and distributes

The middle layer holds the liquid and spreads it across a wider area so it doesn't pool in one spot. It absorbs and holds up to 50 ml of liquid.

3) The outer layer — blocks it from passing through

The final layer stops liquid from reaching your clothes, and helps control odour until wash time.

What it's made of

Body: 84% nylon, 16% spandex. Crotch lining: 82.2% viscose fibre, 17.8% polyester, with a breathable TPU barrier.

This is not period underwear

Period underwear is built for slow menstrual flow. Bladder leaks arrive as a sudden rush — with a cough, a sneeze or a laugh — and that needs different capacity and a genuine waterproof barrier. Sakena is built for the second one.
