Who we are

Sakena is the data controller for personal data collected through shopsakena.com. You can reach us at support@shopsakena.com.

What we collect

When you place an order: your name, delivery and billing address, email address, phone number, order contents and payment confirmation. We never see or store your full card number — payments are handled by our payment providers.

When you browse: device and browser information, IP address, pages viewed and how you arrived at our site, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

When you contact us: your email address and the content of your message.

When you subscribe to emails: your email address and a record of your consent.

Why we use it

• To process and deliver your order, handle returns and provide support.
• To prevent fraud and keep the store secure.
• To send marketing messages, where you have consented. You can withdraw that consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message.
• To measure and improve how our store and our advertising perform.
• To meet our accounting and tax obligations.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only with providers who help us run the store, and only as far as they need it:

• Shopify — our e-commerce platform and hosting
• Payment providers — to take payment and screen for fraud
• Our UAE warehouse and delivery carriers — to pack, deliver and track your parcel
• Email and analytics providers — to send order and marketing emails and to understand how the site is used
• Advertising platforms — for measurement and audience features, where you have consented

We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose data where we are legally required to do so.

International transfers

Some of our providers process data outside the UAE, including in the European Union and the United States. Where that happens we rely on recognised adequacy decisions or on Standard Contractual Clauses together with additional safeguards.

How long we keep it

Order and transaction records: seven years, to meet accounting requirements. Support correspondence: up to three years. Marketing consent records: until you unsubscribe, plus a short period afterwards so we can show the consent existed. Cookie and analytics data: up to 24 months.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, ask us to stop or limit how we use it, and withdraw your consent to marketing at any time. Email support@shopsakena.com and we will respond within one month.

UAE residents have rights under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data.

Cookies

Our store uses cookies that are necessary for it to function, plus optional cookies for analytics and advertising. You can accept or refuse the optional ones through the cookie banner, and change your choice at any time.

Children

Our store is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
